The history of footwear for athletics |
|
Those who like walking much or are engaged in sports adore trainers very much. However some people think that shoes for going in for sports come into life just a few years ago. Generally such footwear was already known in the middle ages. A hundred years ago designers developed special shoes (athletic shoe) for sportsmen. They were on rubber sole and had canvas top. They were light and comfortable. Then in 1936 a manufacturer marquis M. Converse and basket player Ch. Tailor improved models = they were shoes on rubber sole and the top till ankle. Special laces were used to tighten the top of shoes. It was a sensation – this brand Converse All Stars had been known almost everywhere in the world. Since that time many people prefer wearing trainers on every occasion. For instance the famous singer Mike Jaeger was wearing sneakers for his own wedding. In 70-80s this kind of shoes was very popular among musicians. They wore them for the concerts and used for casual wearing. Karl Lagerfeld gave trainers a new life - he started to show fashion models who were wearing such shoes. Later the Japanese designer together with the firm Yohji Yamamoto developed and produced special boots for boxing, which were sewn from suede, with laces in order to support kimono. Then invented trainers made from silk with top net. Today the most famous brands are Adidas, Nike, Reebok, New Balance and Puma. Modern designers are working at improving soles and amortization of boot. In addition trainers were designed separately for men, women and children. It should be noted that trainers are preferably used in sports and good ones help to win a competition. A famous Brazilian football player Pale won many times in the world championships wearing Puma sneakers. |
